Considering (5) constitutional cases tomorrow, including the case against the financial budget

The Federal Supreme Court announced its agenda for tomorrow's session, which includes consideration of (5) constitutional cases, foremost of which is the challenge against (23) articles from the federal budget for the current year.

A statement issued by the Media Office of the Federal Supreme Court stated that "the court will hold its session tomorrow to consider the cases listed on its agenda."

 

He continued, "The first case of the court is to consider the appeal against (23) articles of the articles of the Federal Budget Law established by the Prime Minister in addition to his position," noting that "the previous session witnessed the election of five experts and two reserve experts to present a report that includes the technical aspects of the subject of the appeal." .

 

He pointed out that "the court will consider the case that challenges the constitutionality of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council decision No. 120 of 1994, the issue of which is not to release the convicted person for the crime of damaging state funds unless these funds are recovered from him." “the court will consider a request to rule that Ceremonial Order No. (4) for the year for 2016 is unconstitutional for violating the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq in Articles (1) and (47) thereof, which were established by the Speaker of Parliament / in addition to his position against the Prime Minister / in addition to his post. "

 

The statement pointed out that "another case on the agenda was filed by a former Governor Council member requesting the ruling to invalidate the clause (Second / 1-2-3) of decision (333/of 2015) and restore his retirement rights."

 

The statement went on to say that "the court will also consider the lawsuit of the former Representative, Mr. Muhammad Al-Tai, requesting the ruling to cancel the Council of Representatives decision taken in the session (37) held on 25.5.2017, and return him to the membership of the Council of Representatives."
