    The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Muhammad Abboud, received today, Monday, 6/5/2024, the United Nations Special Representative in Iraq, Ms. Jenin Plasschaert, and her accompanying delegation at the headquarters of the Federal Supreme Court in Baghdad.

The President of the Federal Supreme Court welcomed the United Nations Special Representative in Iraq and her accompanying delegation, and during the meeting they discussed the issue of elections for the Kurdistan Regional Parliament of Iraq and the need to overcome all obstacles facing this in order to ensure the participation of political parties in the region and hold fair elections in light of the relevant decisions of the Federal Supreme Court in a way that leads to building democratic institutions properly in accordance with the Constitution.
