The President of the Federal Supreme Court receives the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate

    The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Muhammad Abboud Al-Omairi, received today, Monday 11/20/2023, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Mr. Moayad Al -Lami, and discussed with him the constitutional judicial procedures and the union’s procedures in the field of journalism.

The President of the Federal Supreme Court affirmed that the constitution must be adhered to in a way that leads to the construction of one independent federal state with full sovereignty and the construction of constitutional institutions that guarantee access to a democratic parliamentary system, preserving the unity of Iraq, implementing the supreme interest of the people and the country, ensuring that everyone participates in public affairs and enjoying political rights with what is the right to vote, election and nomination, and the state must ensure freedom of expression of opinion, freedom of the press and printing according to what was stated in Article (38) of the constitution and that the constitution of the Republic of Iraq for the year 2005 was the result of bitter struggle and great sacrifices, and it must be adhered to and not overcome.
